Notice is hereby given that the Town of Winchester, County of Winnebago, State of Wisconsin at a meeting of the Board of Supervisors held on Monday, April 20, 2026 being properly noticed and posted, and with a quorum present and voting, has approved and adopted Ordinance 2026-01 Short-Term Rental Licensing Ordinance

The ordinance is to ensure that the quality and nature of the short-term rentals operating within the Town of Winchester are adequate for protecting public health, safety, and general welfare and to protect the character and stability of neighborhoods within the Town. It establishes a licensing process for Town of Winchester property owners who wish to offer their property to the public as a short-term rental.

The Ordinance also provides for penalties for violations.
